ominous ginger

I'm going through a little bit of a dark phase in my photography.  For the longest time, I was shooting food on bright, airy surfaces, but now I'm yearning for some darkness.  While food looks great in bright light, I think it might look even better in the dark.  There's an ominous quality to it that gives the food some personality that it doesn't normally have.
